Courage Under Fire x Indie Jazz colt

Pacific Bloodstock purchased this stunning colt at the Melbourne APG Sale for $34,000. He is by the 'pocket-rocket' Courage Under Fire out of the Holmes Hanover mare Indie Jazz.

Courage Under Fire was a superstar on the track winning his first 24 starts including 6 Derbys and multiple Grand Circuit races. Overall he won more than $1.5 Million and took a record of 1:54.2.

He has been a star in the breeding barn also, already producing three Derby winners ~ the Australian and Tasmanian Derby winner Lanercost, the Victoria Derby winner Courage to Rule and the NZ Derby winner Sleepy Tripp. He has sired the winner of more than $8 million dollars and in Australia his progeny is averaging more than $21,000 per starter.

The dam of the colt is the Holmes Hanover mare Indie Jazz and he is her first foal. She is a sister to 7 winners including the 19 time winner Touchstone. 

This colt is eligible for the Vicbred Program and the Australasian Breeders Crown.

Brooke Hansen has been selected to train this stunner. Brooke, of course, is the trainer of Raceapacer's In The Frame Lombo, who won on his debut at Maryborough.
