Cassie Returns to Racing
After a spell and one trial to blow out the cobwebs, Cassie returns to the racetrack at Yarra Valley this Friday afternoon. Drawn barrier 6 in Race 4, she has struck a small but handy field with the race set down to begin at 2:59pm.

The interesting runner in the field is the former New Zealand pacer Easton All Action who is having her first run for leading trainer Lance Justice. She has had only the one trail at Tabcorp Park Melton last Monday and despite only winning by a short half head, she ran her last 800m in 56.6 seconds and her last 400m in 27.7 seconds.
Below is Michael Polster's assessment of Friday's race.
TOP PICK: Former Kiwi mare EASTON ALL ACTION (5) makes her Aussie debut today for Lance Justice and a team of loyal owners. She performed well in her freshman season back in her homeland – winning 3 of her 9 outings, including back-to-back Forbury Park triumphs in June. She is first up from a break here, but did win a trial at Melton last Monday to sharpen her up and this looks hers for the taking.
DANGER: RHODIUM CASTLE (6) is the obvious and only threat. She is a classic-winning 2YO who also enjoyed great success as a 3YO last season – winning 4 of her 17 runs and placing twice at Group 1 level in the Tasmanian Oaks and Victoria Oaks. She hasn’t been seen since finishing down the track behind Bellas Delight in the Australasian Breeders Crown Final, but she has had the benefit of a trial hit out at Geelong recently to blow the cobwebs out and expect her to run one heck of a race fresh.
OTHERS: SHEZATERROR (1) ran a nice race for second to Henry Ducket at Kilmore last week after trailing the speed and from the ace alley she has a strong place chance along with YELLOW DIAMOND (2). ARCTIC LEGACY (3) and MYSTICAL TRICK (4) can run fourth at best.
SELECTIONS: EASTON ALL ACTION (5), RHODIUM CASTLE (6), SHEZATERROR (1), YELLOW DIAMOND (2)
