Cassie back at Melton this Friday Night
Rhodium Castle returns to her home track of Tabcorp Park Melton track this Friday Night. Lining up in Race 1 on the program, she has Greg Sugars taking the drive, fresh from his Grand Circuit winning drive on Smoken Up last Saturday.
That's the good news, the bad news is she has struck a strong field and she has drawn the outside barrier of 7. She will probably head back early, hopefully the speed will be on and she can come with her customary barnstorming finish.
Below is Hutchy's comments for the race, he has marked her a $7 chance.
TOP PICK: MARK DENNIS NZ (3) came to these shores and joined the Lance Justice team with a huge wrap on him after some outstanding 3YO performances at the Addington top level. Since coming here he’s been disappointing to say the least but on his second here two starts back to Next Dawn in fast 1.56.5 sprint affair, rates clearly as the top pick against these. Forget his SA Derby failure from the second line last Saturday night – he finally draws a decent alley.
DANGER: BECAUSE I CAN (6) is a consistent four year old who’s only missed a place once in seven starts. He won his second race in all the way fashion at Yarra Valley last week and is improving with each run.
OTHERS: WELL HELLO DOLLY (9) has returned from a spell in fine fashion with back to back Melton placings followed by a victory here over the in form Our Miss Vivienne, and a last start Yarra Valley success when slowing them up in the lead. This is her toughest test to date. LORDOFTHEFLY (2) impressed in consecutive victories at Shepparton and Cranbourne before missing away in a Charlton stand last time. He’s sure to be prominent from the good alley. Despite the wide draw RHODIUM CASTLE (7), a recent winner and placegetter here, looks the other main winning chance
