Our Syndicate Manager Mark started his involvement in harness racing at age eleven, while in the country town of Ararat and has progressed through many phases in the industry in his a career  spanning well over 40 years!

His first professional involvement occurred with an eight year stint at HRV, initially piloting the freeze branding program before moving to Marketing and Sponsorship.

From this grew a media profile where he represented harness racing on platforms such as HSV -7, World of Sport as well as radio segments on 3DB, 3UZ, 3AK,3HA , 2UE in Sydney, 5AA in Adelaide and 7EX in Launceston.

During a 25 year period Mark was a race caller at harness, thoroughbred, greyhounds and quarter horse meetings throughout Australia.

In 1987, Mark first became involved in the syndication business as general manager at Victorian Harness Racing Syndications, which later changed to Pacers Australia. During this time Mark syndicated high class performers in both harness and thoroughbreds which included the champion Chokin, The Unicorn, Getting It Right, Motoring Mick, Alboretto, Rakamo ,Our Cavalier King and many other city performers.

When he left Pacers Australia in 1992, Mark formed Pacific Racing Stable and as well as a successful bloodstock agent was responsible for creating an arm of the business for the export and import of breeding stock into and out of Australia.

Highly successful stallion, Safely Kept was one of his purchases,as well as the dams of individual Breeders Crown champions, Mafioso, Follow The Stars and Tsonga. The dam of champion New Zealand filly Carabella and Vicbred champion Belinda were also from dams purchased in the USA by Mark.

In 2009 Pacific Bloodstock, a company headed up by Mark, formed an alliance with Harness Racing Victoria to provide a platform for the legal and ethical syndication of horses in the code, through the Raceapacer venture.

In its short history, Raceapacer has provided the industry with many new owners who have together enjoyed success with a number of horses. Notable winners include Youthful Stakes & dual Oaks placed winner Rhodium Castle and Diamond Castle who won a semi of Vicbred at two and competed in the heats of the NSW Oaks this season in Sydney.
